Marble and Granite Counter Edging

Once you have chosen the type of stone countertop that is right for you, the next choice to make is the edging. This is a subtle design  finish on the edge of the counters that can make a big statement in the overall look of the room. There are a few options to consider.
Square
Square edging, otherwise known as straight edging gives the classic modern look. It is quite a sharp look but it is also sharp in a literal sense. It squares off the countertop hence the name square edge.
Beveled
Sleek, modern, clean look the beveled edge look is similar to the square edge look but it cuts off at approximately 45 degree angle to eliminate the sharp corner edge. This helps out with minimizing the chance of chipping the edges.
Ogee
The ogee edging look is an upgrade and has more flair. It comes in many different small choices like how big the step down should be and how steep the concave bottom should be. It fits for a variety of styles of rooms from traditional to more classy.
Bullnose
Bullnose edging is another way of saying a rounded edge. You can choose to have it very rounded or just a touch. This is a very practical countertop edging since it does not have any sharp edges at all.
